Public Sector Craft
On Tuesday, 29 November, 2023 I will be facilitating what promises to be an interesting conversation with three APS Leaders who look after three different Academies of learning for Australian Public Service (APS) employees.
Why does this matter? Because the APS, while not the elected government, serves the government of Australia, whom Australian citizens elect. It is the store house of corporate knowledge on how to do public policy, regulation, and programs in the variety of portfolios across the APS - essential knowledge to help our nation prosper.
The APS Leaders whom I will be interviewing?
Three passionate public servants who have such a depth and variety of experiences across the APS, State and Territory Public Services, and the Private Sector - and who now will be speaking about their various Academies of learning, and the importance of ongoing education and learning for public servants who want to develop their craft.
The Academies, and the relevant Leaders are:
The Australian Public Service Academy, with the Australian Public Service Commission, represented by Assistant Commissioner Faye Liu; and
The Diplomatic Academy, with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade represented by Director of Learning and Development, Mehri Doyle; and
The Services Academy, with Services Australia, represented by National Manager - People Division, Goran Stojanovski.
